The children in Otters and Owl have been creating Victorian radio adverts based on inventions from the Victorian period. They used GarageBand to create a backing track and record their voice - remembering to include key information.

Rural Victorian Life

This afternoon, we found out a few things about what life was like for those who lived in the rural areas in Britain during the Victorian times. We focused on farm life and their daily routine. We learned that it would take them days get through the washing and ironing! We even had a go at getting out stains ourselves! Milk, butter and even whiskey came in handy for washing all those years ago!
